Can't get up

March 25th: Made it to the airport on time, I somehow managed just one piece of checked luggage and no carry-on. Just me, my purse and my stuffed kitty. The stupid rivets on my jeans and boots set the security alarm off so I had to stand there while some chick waves the scan board over me and then demanded to know what was in my pocket. I said nothing but she poked it and said “Well what’s this then?” I glanced down and realized what it was. Pulled it out and showed her the piece of Kleenex I’d forgotten about.

I then had to sit, take of my shoes, wait while she scanned up and down my right leg and then asked if she could pat it down. Found nothing and sent us on our way.

The flight was pretty uneventful, my usual take-off panic, some turbulence and that was about it. His parents, Scott, his cousin and Aunt were there to meet us. Once I stepped outside the airport I was like holy FCUK!OMG!....first time feeling -15…not even sure wtf the wind-chill was.

Went and grabbed some dinner with everyone before starting the 4 hour drive to Sucker Creek…which was quite scary because late at night, possible animals, snow, ice, black-ice and blowing snow….we went very slow for a while :X

Got back exhausted but no sleep for us…the fridge had died, the water was icky so we had to boil it…got to bed around 3am….then up again at 8am to get in another car for an hour to drive to Old Smokie to go tubing for the day.

I borrowed some snow pants that were too big but we tightened em as best we could and it allowed me to wear pants underneath and I had stockings underneath those. Also borrowed some waterproof gloves and had an old jacket of mine and my cute, super long pink scarf.

Flu of doom is over and mostly just been getting my strength back, my body seems to hate me if I don't take a nap o_o but I'm fine with that because sleep = LOVE.

James and I volunteered yesterday for VOKRA and got to take care of/pimp out two very lovely rescues. This is sweet, cuddly, shy Henry . I would have adopted him if I could.

Henry

James said I'd adopt them all if I could....he's right =(

And this is Bart, he was really sweet too~ James and I played with him when he wasn't napping XD
Bart

Hopefully we'll do it again some time, they wanted us for this up coming weekend but Friday we leave for Alberta....YAY! apparently they still have tons of snow in High Prairie and of course I don't really have the proper clothes for this so hopefully I can borrow someones snow pants and go nuts with Charlie in the snow XD! Might even get to go sledding on Sunday (Edmonton has hills? o_o?)

Flying there and back because driving through Jasper right now would be dangerous...and there's the off chance they close the roads and we'd be stuck. I am trying not to freak out too much thinking about the flights but being scared of driving too...its like I can't win :P

Also going to try and pack less this time, it helps that it'll mostly be warm clothes and I don't have that much warm stuff. I am still badly in need of luggage but don't have the money to put out for some right now. Hoping I can borrow luggage from someone (I love you?) otherwise I'm stuck with my old knapsack and dying kit bag.

Started weight lifting again too, my arms want to die :P
Good thing James gives amazing massages. <3

Today: Coming back from cat sitting James and I were in a car accident =\
It was the other guys fault, we were in the clear and he came out of nowhere...going well over the speed limit. Somehow James managed to avoid him hitting us in a bad spot but the guy still smashed into our back end. Dude was driving a fancy new blue thing and his front was all bashed in/torn up.

James asked if I was okay and other than being shaken around I said yeah, he called 911 and then got out to see if the other people were okay and they were. Even had that guy come and check on me.

The cops came and one asked for my info and if I needed an ambulance, I said no...just shaken up although a few hours later now my left shoulder is aching and I have a headache. And James has a bad headache too and a neck ache :X

My Mum thought we should go up to the ER but with the massive over crowding lately and its not life threatening we are just going to go see the doctor tomorrow.

His car is still drivable at least but the back end looks pretty bad. The other guy needed a tow.

On to better things: Feb. 28th was our one year anniversary. I had a bit of a cold but was okay to go out. He took me out to dinner and then to True Confections for cake. As we finished up the yummy as hell cake he was saying some pretty sweet things and then passed me a little box.

I was confused, the ring I had looked at back in November had been sold and I hadn't seen anything else I liked...did he find something else nice? I also knew it wasn't a proposal because we've talked about that and we both want to wait at least 2 years. Anyway, I opened the box and saw my ring XD He'd bought it months ago and kept it hidden.

The place was dark and candlelit so the photo isn't that great but here's my promise ring:
My new ring

So pretty XD

He's been taking care of me all week because my cold turned into a chest infection, very un-fun :X
Im hacking my lungs up.

Oy, haven't posted here in ages...I'll try and remember what I've been up to.

- Did the photo-shoot for Double Double Foil and Fumble. It went well and James was a great assistant ^_^ keeping me balanced when I had to climb up on things and lifting me back down again. He even did the poster because I still need my brother to install Photoshop...but he did a much better job than I ever could of done.
Wren and the other girl loved it so yay XD

Possibly the final edit

Christmas was all sorts of amazing~
I was able to get all my shopping done on the 23rd...thankfully the mall wasn't too crazy, I was worried because I was cutting it so close.

Christmas Eve James came and picked me up, we hauled a couple bags full of gifts (some from me and some from my Mum) over to my brothers place where she had gone over in the morning to cook the dinner.

Got the last of my Christmas shopping done today, woke up at 6:45am and met my Mum up at Metrotown @10. Thankfully because it was so early it wasn't too busy but when we left around 1...it was packed.

Hardest person to shop for was James, I don't have a ton of cash this year and wanted to get him something really special.

Tomorrow we will pack up all our gifts and spend Christmas at my Brothers, my Mum is heading over there early in the morning to do the cooking and we'll go over around 4. It'll be her, Chris, Dana, Candace, James and I. Then we'll come back here, open Padme's kittypix secret Santa parcel and then I'm going back to James. We've already planned on spending Christmas day together starting with a breakfast he's going to cook, then opening the presents his Parents & Sister got us and later in the evening getting hot chocolates and driving around looking at Christmas lights. Looking forward to it.

Hope everyone else has a great Christmas~! (I feel awful I wasn't able to get cards out this year. =\)

Merry Christmas <3

Sunday: James and I met up with Joyee and Steven because they wanted me to take pictures of them for their Grandparents. The weather was thankfully clear just frickin cold so we went to Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese garden to the photos, James had never been there before and brought his sketchbook along but it was too cold for even that. Managed to get a few nice shots in before they took us out for lunch.

Afterwords the sun had come out so we stopped at a park near the garden to do a few more photos before we went home. Surprisingly it had gotten even colder >_<...took some other pics that I will upload when I go to James' later.

Came home at 4 and crashed...woke up for a bit, crashed again, slept most of Monday o_o...I guess if my body needs it that bad....okay go for it.

Going to be taking a photo for the poster for a play called "Double Double Foil and Fumble" in January. I just have my little Canon point and shoot but Wren (the Writer/Production Manager of it all) would still like me to do it, if I'm somehow able to get use of a DSLR for it then great, if not then I'll just have to make mine work. I want to give them something they'll be happy with and something I can be proud of. Especially since my name would be on the poster o_o.

God I need to start my Christmas shopping like asap :X
questa: (wtf)
Step One
* Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

* Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals, or holiday_wishes/wish_list) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

1. Film and a battery for the HK camera
2. Cute drawings of Rikku/Auron or Padme XD
3. Canon 7D
4. Snow
5. Enchanted DvD
6. 10/Rose, Aurikku, Tangled fics
7. Ralph by Ralph Lauren or Clinique Happy perfume
8. Paid Piknik account on Flickr
9. GLITTER!
10. Bodyshop or Lush stuffs

Stuff:

* Saw Tangled with James, Emily and Caitlin...while we were at the mall looking around we ran into Wren and then Ian so they tagged along ^_^, the movie was awesome...I can't wait to see it again, it is now my favorite Disney cartoon/Princess (sorry Ariel) and I plan on doing couples cosplay with James of Rapunzel and Flynn next year XD

* Dressed up for "Fancy Friday" and went to get photos with Santa except people showed up late and the line up was closed so we got a shot in front of Santa's cage house. :P

Halloween was great, James took me to a couple haunted houses (at first we were like...um maybe not such a good idea for someone with PTSD :P but I was okay). First was "Scare Affair" which was the biggest haunted house around and cost $10 per person. It was just okay, nothing impressive.

The other one I forget the name of, it was just a small set up in front of a house by donation to Children's Hospital or Children's Wish (I forget which). It was really well done ^_^

One of the days James and I decided to head into the back40 to try and find Sarge's gave =(
We came across one of the kittens from our first visit...

Dora

She was adorable and sweet but she kept trying to follow us despite our attempts to get her to go back home, she just ignored it and kept following.... :X We were both worried she might get lost or worse....picked up by a hawk/killed so I scooped her up and carried her.

She stayed perfectly content with me for over an hour....
a few times she crawled up onto my shoulder and stayed like that, then for awhile she sat in my hood o_o

It seemed to come up so fast and even though we'd been packing and buying things we'd need....it still felt like we weren't ready.
Got the foam mattress set up in the back so we wouldn't have to bother with much when we got to the campsite. We'd planned on taking 2 days to do the drive instead of the 1 his parents usually do it in. This way it would be less exhausting and we could see some sites.

James had bought me a kitty cat pillow pet a few days before and omg its so awesome, I was kind of wondering if it would be as amazing as the guy selling it said it would be if you wrap it (the stuffy can fold and you Velcro it so it stays) around your seat-belt. It worked and OMG SO COMFY XD!

Dance Demo

Sep. 19th, 2010 03:06 pm

No idea why I had agreed to do it...mostly it was to help out Sue because she's awesome and really needed people. I'm way too social phobic and don't feel like I've had enough training to dance in front of a crowd.

And one of the dances we were going to do I'd only done twice before and found it difficult, its very beautiful but omg..fuck you Italy and your damn feet killing pravans!

I panic attacked 3 days about the whole thing and because of this I did something I never do...mixed up dates on the calender...which ended up with James and I driving around Surrey to go to a dance practice that actually happened the day before o_o

The day off James missed an important animation industry event just so he could go with me (and ended up being our tech guy/photoguy since he wasn't about to dance in front of a crowd just yet)

We had an hour n a half of training before the thing thank god but they went and changed the hard Italian dance because we didn't have enough men...I was like omg nooooooooo!

It took place outside the Fireside Cafe & House of Cheesecake as part of their birthday event. I was a little more intimidated when I saw the crowd seem to be mostly bikers o_o! they were really nice tho~

We left on a Friday in the morning, I was pretty exhausted because I was just not able to sleep at all and had pretty much been up all night =\
Put Padme into her carrier...thankfully she went in with no problems (unlike Taro a few days before where we actually had to cancel her nail trimming appt, because we could not her in) but she was scared. James was a huge help with the bags and getting us into the cab to the Vet's while I handled Padme.

photo heavy like omg :X! )

Bestest birthday ever <3

Because of the bite infection and dealing with that I really didn't bother planning a birthday, I figured I'd be too sick and didn't want to cancel on people last minute. James encouraged me to at least set up something small and just see how I was feeling so I invited a few people to meet up downtown.

The day of I was bad and didn't take any of my pills, was glad to have the damn IV tube out but the stupid antibiotics made me so sick so I figured I'd skip my morning, afternoon and late afternoon doses.

James had got me a few awesome gifts, a couple which I was allowed earlier because I was so sick. Same with my Mum's...it was a book and although hard to hold...it gave me something to do.

The morning of: Had yummy Lucky Charms cereal thanks to James and was feeling mostly okay. Was going to call/text a few more people and see if they wanted to join us but after hitting send after responding to a happy birthday txt from Derek...my phone died...again.

Went up to Metrotown since James had a haircut appt. and I had to take phone in to Bell again. As usual they weren't any help. Dude tried to sell me a Blackberry...ugh. Phone was gonna be in the shop for 2-3 weeks....this was not good because I needed to text people I'd be late getting dowmtown thanks to the unexpected Bell crap plus Andrew was coming all the way out from Squamish and I needed to let him know where we were.

James and I drove up to the beautiful Edgewater Lodge in Whistler for Andrew and Alisha's wedding~
It was Pride & Prejudice themed so they asked that I wear my regency dress, I was worried because wearing white to a wedding? Baaaad! So I sent them a photo of it just to be sure and they still wanted me to wear it, I still worry what the guests thought~

James looked awesome too but sadly I've only seen one photo with us in it and you can't see our clothes well.
I didn't bother taking any pictures because my camera decided it didn't like the lighting.

It started raining a couple minutes before the ceremony so it was moved under the tent, but even with the lighting and rain it was still very beautiful. It fit the setting ^_^ Had a wonderful time seeing everyone and even James had a great time even though he's not comfy around tons of people or people he doesn't know. He said you could just feel the love and happiness radiating from everyone and that made it different from any of the other things we've gone to.

I loved that they had a video message from her brother in Afghanistan and a beautiful large colour photo of the dogs where you could write a message to him on or even send him a video, such a sweet idea ^_^

James wanted to leave before dark since he's never driven anything but flatland before and I was going to stay and maybe get a ride back with someone but when that couldn't happen he stayed and we didn't leave until after 11.

I woke up around 5am a bit itchy, there had been lots of mosquito out and I really should have put on my Off cream but didn't...anyway, I popped a Benadryl and went back to bed,
Woke up for good around 11 super itchy, I had a bite on my right arm, one on my collar bone and the back of my left hand had a marble sized lump on it...so I took another Benadryl.

About an hour later the marble lump became golf ball sized so I called my Mum to see if there were any clinics open on a Sunday, she said no and suggested I call 811, our nurses line and see what they say.
So I did that and the guy went through a bunch of questions with me, then suggested I go to a clinic..I'm like, its Sunday...and tomorrow is BC day...he was like "Oh...good luck =\, you might want to go to the ER then..."

Day 1 (around 2pm)

Daniels birthday - it went well XD
I was stressing out because a lot of people didn't bother contacting me and I'm like ARGH OMG RESERVATIONS PEOPLE! Thankfully when I called the Sutton Place hotel the day before they let me change the reservations from 15 to 20 people. Only like 16 showed up so it worked out great.

The chocolate buffet was pretty epic but I don't think it was worth $26...I can't eat that much XD

I couldn't even finish my only plateful

Today I went back down town with Caitlin to hang out, ended up meeting up with James (new friend I met at the store who just moved out here from Alberta and hasn't seen much of the city yet), almost had Aaron too but sadly he had to work until 11.
The rain thwarted my photo plans but we wandered around to a few shops then went to grab pizza and then off to get CAKE XD

The Olympics start tomorrow...sadly I'm going to miss the opening ceremonies because I have troupe mage. I'm hoping I can catch them elsewhere. Saturday I'm seeing a friend for the day and Sunday = work + family dinner.

I plan to brave the madness a few times to attempt more photos but crowds? ugh

Keep meaning to post and then never get around to it >_<
Had a tooth pulled...it was NOT fun...

First they checked to see if the root was still alive....god that sucked, it was alive so that was good. We discussed the options...root canal vs pull it, she said (yeah...different dentist -_- mines pretty much retired so he's not in much and I couldn't wait any longer...didn't want to end up in the ER again) she might not even be able to finish the root canal if they start it, because I have REALLY strong roots so they'd have to send me to a specialist and that would cost even more than the $700+ they'd have already charged me. Or pay $200 for just pulling it.

So I really didn't have a choice, I don't have that kind of money right now.

As it was she said the tooth was so bad that they'd have sent me to a specialist to have it out and they'd have put me right under...but again, cost.
She was even worried she might not even be able to pull it anyway -_-! So I was super stressed. Had to have tons of freezing, it washes through me quickly so I always need more than normal. Plus her not knowing me = she wasn't able to find the right nerve to hit...mines deeper back so that took awhile /swt

It took like 2 or 3 hours? Oy....
At the end of it she said I'd gone through one of the most traumatizing things they can do to you, and how she normally would refuse to do one that bad without the person totally under. She also said congrats, most people wouldn't have been able to get through it. X_x what like I had a choice?

God I felt so awful, came home and was VERY thankful I still had some Oxy's left. Popped one and spent the next few days in bed watching Jem and the Holograms on my phone and living off of a liquid diet (yay for losing 10 pounds?)

Then when I was feeling a bit more normal I go and injure my arm, it was stupid...I was just reaching into my jacket pocket and I guess my arm bent funny. I didn't think much of it and rubbed it a bit, was surprised when it didn't just go away. I had been on my way to Forsaken for our self defense lesson with Ken and it was still hurting but I ignored it and spent the next 3 hours kicking the shit out of things.

I'm not the greatest at punching, some moves I couldn't even do because of my knee's but apparently I fucking rock and ramming someone with my knee XD

The next day at work my body was a little sore from the work out but my arm? OMFG T_T it was so hard to go through the day, I tried to pop into a clinic on my break but the wait was too long. People were insisting I run up to the hospital but I thought that was a bit much. Although at the end of the day when my fingers started getting really swollen I decided to listen o-o

Alan ran me up yet again and we had a 3hr wait...I was hungry and so sore...the waiting room is so uncomfortable too.

Had to get x-rays because they thought I'd fractured something, but nope nothing broken....the doctor said I'd done something to the muscle so go home and take Advil. Yes...the drug that wasn't touching it AT ALL.

Thank god I STILL had Oxy left XD
Although its sad I need something so strong just to get through the day, but I saved it and only took it when I was at work...and just one pill. Went to see my doctor the other day because its still pretty painful and I don't want to keep taking the big guns so he prescribed some super strong anti inflammatory that I take twice a day, it helps a bit.

Other than the arm work has been good, I love working there ^_^
Get to hang out with friends all day and sometimes play games, plus we get eye candy coming in ;)

Came home to sad news though Niko passed away, he was seriously the sweetest cat I've ever known, I loved cat sitting him...even if he did keep me up most of the night when I'd sleep over by kissing my nose and walking all over my head.

Had a good long cry and cuddled Padme for awhile ;_;
--------

Today I went to some SCA dance lessons, probably not a good idea with the arm but meh....tired of missing stuff because of various physical things.
I did okay I guess, was a bit worried until the dance teacher told us she'd just been doing all advanced stuff o-o they decided to throw us right in. I was glad I'd done the Scottish Dancing a few times over the summer because its very similar...just slower and more elegant. I'm going to one of their events this Saturday, more dance lessons, a dinner and then a real dance ^_^ I just wish I had a nicer outfit to wear.
