questa | (no subject)

Last weekend was almost total fail but worked out in the end...
Friday: Ian had suggested we go to Dressew, the art store ( http://www.deserres.ca/ ) and then Nightmarket so I set up a Facebook event for it. Only Alan. Pam and I showed up....we looked around Dressew, wandered into Deadly Couture then went off to the art store ...omg so much I wanted T_T
I'm was planning on asking my brother for a gift certificate there but my Flickr account needs renewing because it runs out July 28th T_T~!

Sent a text to Ian wondering where the heck he was and got one back saying he had no cash and decided to go to 7th Sea instead....so nice of him to message and let us know he was cancelling on an event which was his idea...

We decided to forget about Nightmarket and went to some strip mall instead, looked around and saw several things I wanted including a summer dress that FIT (and was only $15). Then we grabbed something to eat and wandered over to 7th Sea to check it out. Upon arrival I was sucked in to NPC so I ran home, got into my blue gown and raced back....was given a minute briefing on the character and sent in o-o

I was a little worried because it always takes me awhile to get a character and npc's even more so...but I fell into this one easily and had tons of fun XD
So much romance and intrigue XD I spent the whole night running around with my characters best friend and flitting with 2 different guys. I'll definitely keep playing whenever I can but only as npc's for now because I can't afford it otherwise.

Saturday: I was looking forward to going to Aaron's game and seeing all the Squamish people (specially since I wasn't going to the big masquerade...) but by 5:30 I still hadn't heard from anyone so I messaged Andrew, found out he wasn't able to come out so I had to miss too...I didn't have any bus fare =(
Instead I ended up going over to Alan's with Daniel, Stewart and Chris C. for a night of gaming, we played Anima and Fragg XD and also had an impromptu picnic.

Sunday: Mage, small attendance due to Sabbat falling on the same day. Sadly it was a little so so I didn't enjoy it as much as usual.

Wednesday: I was going to go out to Steveston to the Canada stuff's. see the Ren Faire people and possibly follow them in the parade for a bit because they asked me to hold their video camera and film them but it meant waking up at like 6am....
I felt bad but I passed, waking up early is evil....and I was disappointed I wasn't able to get Daniel and a few others to come, sometimes I get annoyed because getting the gamers to go out and do something non game related is next to impossible.

Instead, Alan and I went to Heritage Village and wandered around there, I got some good pictures before coming home to rest for a few hours.
Daniel had suddenly decided to come out with us and we met for dinner along with Ian and Chris C. at the Keg, then went to see the fireworks in New West. I wasn't really impressed....although the last one they shot up looked really nifty.
Mostly people just stood in front of us blocking the view and too many people were smoking... -_-

I need to work on being more assertive with people, I'm better than I was but still not saying things when I need to say them.
I end up putting up with peoples behaviour and making myself miserable in the end. (Like not saying something to a guy at 7th Sea the other day who wacked me a couple of times on the ass with his sword.... -_- When I should have turned around and told him to stop it...)

I'm going to start doing that and setting boundaries with people.
