(no subject)

Finished off my last few days of babysitting Victoria and William, she is seriously the smartest 2 year old I've ever met...and so articulate~!
The night before they moved to Japan I sat for them at Matthews parents place, it was a fairly easy night....Victoria was asleep by the time I got her which was good...she needed sleep for the long trip ahead but I was a little sad not to be able to say goodbye to her.

His parents were great, they hung out in the basement with me and William for a bit and we talked while I played with him. When it came time to give him his bottle the Grandmother say "oh wow...I've never seen anyone but me do that before"
me - "Sorry?"
her- "You tested the milk on the inside of your wrist"

o-o I've always done that, I figured most people with a baby would otherwise how else would you know if it's too hot.

Anyway, I was there till almost 5am...he fell asleep in my arms on the couch and we laid that way for a couple hours before I moved him because I was starting to get sleepy.
Said goodbye to Matthew and Sam, he said his parents were so impressed by me that they asked if they could have my contact information to give to several friends who have been looking for competent sitters. Also, their Sensei is looking for someone and he suggested me to them, so that was nifty ^_^

Managed to get a few hours sleep before getting up to go down town with Alan and my Mum for the Sins of the City tour put on by the Vancouver Police Museum.
And bought myself some cute crime scene bandages (still need to get a picture of them) in the gift shop while we were there~!
