Friday: Woke up at 7am (an hour earlier than intended because Taro wanted some attention) and started getting ready to head up to Grouse.
It was just going to be me, Alan and Jon…we had 2 extra seats but sadly everyone we asked to come was either working or broke =(
I don’t own any proper winter clothes so I just layered like crazy.
- Stockings, thigh high socks, socks over those, yoga pants, jeans.
- Tank top, long sleeved Hello Kitty jammie shirt, long sleeved hooded shirt, hoodie and coat.
It was snowing a tiny bit when they picked me up but the skies were blue and the sun was out, seemed like a perfect day to go up.
His GPS said it would take us only about 20mins to get there from my place, which I didn’t believe, but it was true o-o
Took us A LOT longer to find parking….about an hour or more…
In the one parking lot we could see part of the animal refuge, 3 beautiful wolves wandering around up close to the fence where some people were.
We eventually gave up and drove to the bottom of the mountain and parked on the side of the street, then hiked back up o-o
Had to walk on the street because there wasn’t really a sidewalk…
Got up and then into the large line up to buy our tickets to go up the scary gondola of DOOM~!

They stuff like 25+ people in one…

Heading up....
It only takes about 4 minutes...they have someone in the gondola with a mic (that's way too loud) kindly letting you know just how high up you are....
THANKS MAN XDD! /sarcasm...
And when it’s about to sway...and omfg...that last sway???? EEKKKOMG :X
I wasn't as scared as I thought I'd be...but that's mostly because of all the snow...
Looking out the windows it didn't look REAL! o-o

Higher

*whimper*

When we got to the top and stepped out…omg…it looked like we were in another world…
(I also felt like I was in Second Life :P)

First thing we did was go in and grab some lunch…all the tables were taken so we ended up sitting outside XD
(and omg they have the yummies french fries ever XD)

Lined up for the sleigh ride, it’s a large sleigh that’s dragged around by a CAT…only a 15mins ride and its not really anything special…they stuff you in so you cant really turn or move and the only thing you really see are skiers and snowboarders wandering around X_x

Got to go ice skating after that on their little outdoor rink ^_^~

The ice was nice, not soaking wet like most indoor rinks and not too dry like other outdoor ones.
My knee’s did okay (just a bit weak) but my balance is just gone….-_-
It sucked because I can still remember how to twirl and do a few beginner figure skating moves and I WANT to do them but my body is like WTFNOWEDONTWORKTHATWAYANYMORE:X
-_-!
Only went around 5-6 times with Alan and Jon's help, it was easier hanging on to someone.

Sitting on the ground to put your skates on = not the greatest idea....
Apparently this was very amusing...they both took a few shots of my ass....including close-ups....
I didn't even notice I had any snow on me until I saw the pictures... :P

Didn’t get to see the bears because they were hibernating…
Looked around the gift shop, again nothing special so we decided to head back down.

My ears had popped a bit on the way up but going down was much worse for some reason…they wanted to pop but didn’t and omg it hurt :X

Jon got a myspacey shot of me in the gondola…it was too packed for anything else.

The sunset was really pretty

Went to check out the wolves but they were laying down far off from the fence where you could go see them…and we could only spot 2 of them.
I yoinked one of Jon’s photo’s because Alan doesn’t have a zoom lens yet and they were just a couple of dark lumps in my shot.

Next we decided to go to Capilano Suspension Bridge since it was so close.
They were open a little later than usual because of a light show thing that was going on through Christmas.

I felt like such a dork, it was Alan and Jon’s first time here and I fell apart on the bridge across….Alan was hanging on to me while dragging me forward and Jon was behind me trying to help and get some photos.
I couldn’t help it though, I am afraid of heights and that bridge is damn terrifying…it also didn’t help that people were rocking the bloody thing. Thankfully they got yelled at.
Made it across and we wandered around taking pictures.

We did the tree top adventure and that was less scary than the last time I had done it with Luna and Aiden, mostly because it was so damn dark I couldn’t tell how high up we were :P

We were all pretty tired and sore after that so we grabbed dinner and went home. ^_^~
There is talk about possibly going skiing in Feb/April....
I've never gone before and although I know I'll forever be on the bunny hills this makes me die of happy XD
I hope we actually get to do it ^_^~
